Description
RECOVERY:The Boise Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, plans to procure two 1500 kw generators, paralleling switching gear and control panel. Contractor shall also provide factory testing and then deliver to the site at 500 West Fort Street, Boise ID 83702. The Boise VA Contracting Office plans to publish a solicitation RFQ for the above subject within the next two weeks. Vendor shall provide generators, switchgear and controls as further specified in the specifications and drawings to be posted with the solicitation. Vendor shall perform complete factory testing of equipment with engineer and Government witness. Vendor shall provide on-site technical services to Government Contractor with respect to assembly, installation, testing, commissioning as well as training complete with all necessary documentation for operations and maintenance of equipment. The Government shall provide the listed Project Specifications and Drawings. The Government shall not furnish any equipment or services to the Contractor not specifically stated in the Project Specifications. The Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) is responsible for certifying that the work done under the contract is performed to time and standard. The COTR is also responsible to assure the inspection and acceptance of in place products provided incidental to services. A demo period or trial is not inspection of a product. The Contractor shall pay particular attention to zero energy potential issues, and NFPA 70E Standard for electrical Safety in the Workplace, 2009 edition. Work shall be performed at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Boise, ID, physical address 500 W. Fort Street, Boise, ID 83702. Period of Performance, the contract delivery shall be within approximately six months from the Notice to Proceed. This procurement will be coordinated in conjunction with a separate building construction project at the Boise VA Medical Center. This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 12 Acquisition for Commercial Items and will be made pursuant to the authority in FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) and 13.501-(a)(1) using simplified acquisition procedures for commercial acquisitions. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 335312 and the business size standard is1000 employees. Only one award will be made as a result of this solicitation. This will be awarded as a firm fixed price type contract inclusive of all equipment requested, service, testing and delivery as described in the solicitation.
