- The US Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 2-Southwest, is preparing to issue a solicitation No. 20181AQ515 on or about January 8, 2010 for the supply of a commercially available fire suppression marsh buggy with trailer and cutter system to be supplied to the Texas Chenier Plain Refuge Complex Fire Program, Anahuac, Texas. Minimum specifications for this requirement shall be outlined within the specifications section of the solicitation documents, once issued, and shall include, but is not limited to, the complete fabrication and supply of a twin track marsh buggy capable of operating in wetland environments with built-in fire suppression system. The buggy shall have dual pontoons with internal water bladders/tanks in the track area that are capable of being filled with 55 gallons of water and a fire suppression sprayer capable of spraying 30 feet or greater. Additional minimum specifications shall be equivalent to that supplied by Marsh master of Baton Rouge, Louisiana for their Marsh Master II Model C, with Fire Suppression System. A trailer capable of transporting the supplied equipment shall be inclusive of this requirement and shall be capable of tilt function and operable on Federal Highways within the United States. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification Code for this Requirement is: 336999, All-terrain vehicles (ATVs), wheeled or tracked, manufacturing with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The Product Service Code is: 2305, ground effect vehicles. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 5.203(a)(1), this requirement has been determined to be commercially available and the response date of the solicitation shall be shortened to less than 30 days to read January 28, 2010. When posted, the statement of work and specifications, along with any related documents, will be available for download via the National Business Center (NBC) website at: http://ideasec.nbc.gov/j2ee/login.jsp. Vendors may utilize the quick search box to access the solicitation by entering the solicitation number 20181AQ515. The posted solicitation documents will also be available via the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov where this announcement is posted. A written solicitation will not be issued. All interested parties wishing to quote on this project must be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to participate.
