- Description
- The following questions were received during the 10 working days in relation to Solicitation Number VA-248-09-RP-0689 for Transcription-Translation Services: Other questions were done on the telephone and/or after the 10 days allowed for inquiries: those did not comply with the solicitation instructions. 1. The Schedule of Supplies and Services has a column with minimum and maximum number of pages (Unit (pages), Minimum/Maximum Price, and Price. Please explain how the two price related columns are computed. Do you want the unit price or the unit price times the number of pages? Please establish the price for the minimum of pages (1,500 pages) and for the maximum of pages (2,500). Please establish at PRICE the total that will be quoted for the 2,500 pages (which is the maximum requested); this for the San Juan VA Regional Office, and so on with the 004 (that shall read 002) and the 005 (that shall read 003), and will be corrected before award. 2. How is the Total Price computed? Is it based on the minimum number of pages? Please give the Total Price for the maximum of pages that are estimated. 3. The solicitation says the contractor must incur the cost of the background investigation. If this is to be a fixed price contract, can you tell me the approximate cost of the background investigation? No, I don't know the approximate cost for background investigations. When VA is hiring employees that requires background investigation; this task is accomplished by the Human Resources Department. The solicitation is active and open to proposals until January 15, 2010 at 2:00 pm Eastern -Puerto Rico time.
