Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or a request for proposal and no contract will be awarded from this notice. No solicitation or specifications are available at this time. The General Services Administration (GSA), New England Region, North Service Center Branch, is seeking a Small Business concern with current relevant qualifications, experience, personnel, and capability to perform the work described herein. The Contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, supplies, materials, repair and replacement parts, equipment, and tools required to perform the specified elevator maintenance and repair services effectively and efficiently at the following Maine GSA building(s): 1. M.C. Smith Courthouse, Bangor, ME - 2 Elevators 2. E.S. Muskie FOB, Augusta, ME - 2 Elevators 3. US Custom House, Portland, ME - 1 Elevator 4. ET Gignoux Courthouse, Portland, ME - 3 Elevators 5. Land Port of Entry, Calais, ME - 1 Elevator 6. Land Port of Entry, Houlton, ME - 1 Elevator 7. Land Port of Entry, Jackman, ME - 1 Elevator The firm shall demonstrate maintenance capabilities in an occupied building. Scope of work will include repair, preventive maintenance, and routine and emergency service calls on all equipment (both traction and hydraulic types) covered by the contract. You should also address personnel qualifications for elevator maintenance including all licenses required by state law. The anticipated award will be a firm fixed price, mechanical maintenance service contract. It is anticipated that the contract will be awarded with a 3 year base period of performance with 4, one year options. All qualified Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. One of the main purposes of this Sources Sought Notice is to assist the Contracting Officer in determining if a 100% Small Business Set-Aside is the acceptable strategy for the procurement. The Government anticipates a contract award for these services in March 2010. The appropriate NAICS Code is 238290 (Other Building Equipment Contractors) with a small business size standard of $14.0 million dollars. The estimated value of this project is between $ 1M -$ 5M. It is requested that interested parties submit a brief capabilities package. The package shall address, at a minimum, the following: (1) Examples of similar services provided within the last five years in buildings of similar size, scope, complexity, and geographic coverage. State whether your firm worked as a prime or subcontractor, contract value, brief description of how the referenced contract relates to the work described, and provide a client point of contact. (2) Company profile, to include number of employees, annual receipts, office location(s), and DUNS number. (3) Indicate if you are a Small Business and any Small Business socioeconomic status you currently have. The capabilities package requested under this Sources Sought Notice is not expected to be a proposal, but rather a short statement regarding the company's ability to demonstrate existing expertise and experience in relation to this procurement. Any commercial brochures or currently existing marketing material may also be submitted with the capabilities package. Submission of a capabilities package is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the General Services Administration in tailoring its requirements to be consistent with industry standards. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice shall be mailed to the following address: General Services Administration, North Service Center Branch (1PSK), Attn: J.
