- AMENDMENT No.2 is a CHANGE to the HUBZONE set aside in Amendment No. 1. After careful consideration and review this solicitation WILL BE solicited on a FULL AND OPEN BASIS as contained in the original presolicitation notice. CORRECTION: This project IS A HUBZONE SET ASIDE and NOT full and open as originally advertised. RECOVERY - Camp Crook Administrative Facilities on the Custer National Forest. The project includes, but is not limited to: •Removal and replacement of an existing office building with a new single story accessible 4880 sf office building. The work includes a new asphalt surfaced parking area, sidewalks, utilities, and landscaping. •Facility upgrades on multiple buildings to improve energy efficiency including energy efficient windows and doors, insulated siding, and additional attic insulation and ventilation. •Remodeling 3 existing residences. Main floor additions will be provided on the north and south residences. Existing bedrooms, laundry facilities, furnaces, water heaters, pantries, etc. located in existing basements will be relocated to the main floor additions and the basements will be eliminated by partially filling in. The middle residence will be remodeled to meet accessibility standards. •Replacement of the existing water distribution system and water storage and treatment facilities. •Upgrades to building service utilities such as sewer, electrical, natural gas, and communications. •Improvements to existing parking areas including asphalt surfacing. •A new carport to provide covered vehicle storage. •Demolition or removal of existing office after other work has been completed. There will be a prebid tour held on January 20, 2010. Prospective bidders should meet at the Sioux Ranger Station, Camp Crook, South Dakota at 10:00AM. The project cost estimate is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required per the Miller Act and Davis-Bacon wage rates will apply. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the Government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the bidder will render a bidder ineligible for award. Bidders may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov//. The project will have a Base Bid Item and 5 Optional Items included.
