Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice and submissions will be used for informational and planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute a formal Request for Proposal (RFP), nor is the U.S. Government obligated to issue an RFP. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any input as a result of this market survey. The U.S. Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. No award will be made as a result of this market survey. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Keyport Detachment Pacific is seeking companies who have the capabilities to manufacture/assemble pressure-proof, plug assemblies in accordance with NAVSEA S9320-AM-PRO-020/MLDG Molding & Inspection Procedures for Fabricating Connector Plug for Submarine Cables and attached specification sheets for this Request for Information (RFI). Drawings referenced in this RFI are restricted by the Arms Export Contract Act and are ONLY available to vendor's/contractor's appointed data custodian that are registered with Defense Logistics Information Services (DLIS) Joint Certification Program (JCP). Vendors/Contractors that are not registered with DLIS JCP can obtain registration information at www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp/. Restricted drawings and technical information are available through FedBizOpps as an attachment to this RFI. Responses to this RFI should be able demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to perform the principal components of work listed above. Packages should include the following information: (1) Business name, address, business size and type (8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran, Small Business, Large Business, etc.), a point of contact to include e-mail address and telephone number, taxpayer identification number, DUNS number and CAGE Code. All information is to be submitted via e-mail (10MB limit) to megumi.kuwada@navy.mil. Information provided will not be returned. All responses shall be in the English language. NUWC Keyport Detachment Pacific requests your response by 4:30 PM (HST) on Friday, 8 January 2010. Submissions will be accepted after this date, but feedback may not be as timely or contribute to NUWC Keyport Detachment Pacfic's strategic planning.
