Description

The purpose of this module is for the Contractor to upgrade the Fires Test Directorate's (FTD's) existing ExCIS support vehicles, consisting of 2-Mobile Large Nodes (MLNs), 1-Stationary Large Node (SLN), and 6-Mobile Instrumentation Support Vehicles (MISVs). To accomplish the upgrade, contractor shall remove all the current ExCIS rack-mounted processors, Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers and antennas, DME modems, communications switches, and associated cables. The contractor will service the MLNs 50 foot hydraulic masts (2 each) with the mast being removed and serviced by installing the required new seals, lubricant, hoses, collars, and etc. The satellite truck and vehicles used in Multimedia Data Transfer System (MDTS, per core task order MW21401T5) are being updated. These vehicles include the satellite truck and mobile instrumentation vehicles. The satellite truck must be updated with new satellite transmit components, generators, cables and switches and the removal and replacement of the two existing Generac 7.0kw generators with new Onan 7.0k EFI generators with hig capacity fuel pumps. (Some of the instrumentation equipment used in these vehicles includes ExCIS.) ExCIS is part of the MDTS instrumentation equipment
