Description
Subj: Request for Information for Services to provide the US Marine Corps with enhanced Casualty Assistance Care Support PURPOSE: The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to conduct market research for use in formulating an acquisition strategy to augment existing Marine Corps' Casualty Assistance. The Marine Corps Casualty Assistance currently provides casualty assistance for Primary Next of Kin (PNOK) for all Marine casualties. This includes notification, assistance with burial details, and coordination of all survivor benefits and programs. Additionally, the Marine Corps offers a Long Term Assistance Program (LTAP), designed to work with the PNOK to answer any additional questions and resolve residual issues. Results of the RFI will support development of a comprehensive program to augment the Marine Corps current Casualty Assistance. Results of this effort shall identify and prioritize efforts to include: direct survivor support, program planning, staff training, case management and transitional assistance. Firms possessing suitable qualifications should submit responses addressing the following core objectives in terms of customer experience and relevant capabilities: (A) Ability to provide a staff with advanced degrees in psychology, social work, and nursing. Furthermore this staff should be well-informed on current and evolving policy, regulations and trends that may influence survivor benefits and outreach services, and has written and promoted legislation in this area; (B) Ability to staff offices in the following locales: Camp Pendleton, CA, Camp Lejeune, MARFORRES, LA and NYC/Boston area) as well as provide survivor support as necessary to all 50 states; (C) Ability ! to provide a staffed call center 24/7/365 that provides emotional support and bereavement services; (D) Ability to provide long term support, advocacy and resource information for survivors; and (E) Ability to enhance the Marine Corps' ability to bring bereavement sensitivity, quality case management and survivor outreach services to Marine families. Responses to this RFI shall not exceed ten (10) pages, including cover letter, discussion and contact information. Subject response must contain: (1) Capability statement sufficient to demonstrate performance acumen directly related to the objectives stated; (2) Two customer citations describing similar work efforts; (3) Link to the respondent's appropriate GSA Schedules if applicable or other Government-Wide Acquisition Contract vehicles; and (4) Other material relevant to establishing the core competencies of the firm. Please identify Small Business size status if applicable. Response is due by Thursday, December 31 2009, 1200 a.m., EST. Please submit e-mail responses to Bradford L.
