- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is soliciting interest and capabilities statements from very small businesses capable of fabricating a metal mold based on Government's specifications and manufacturing 152 Edging Front Shelves for the Display System Replacement System (DSR) consoles. This is a very Small Business Set-aside. The principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 326291, Molding, extruding, and lathe-cutting rubber to manufacture rubber goods (except tubing) for mechanical applications - as classified in Industry, with a size standard of 250 employees. The total estimated contract value is $86,000.00. In accordance with the attached Statement of Work (SOW), interested firms are required to submit their capability statements and the attached Business Declaration form. A. Based on the Statement of Work (SOW), interested vendors must demonstrate the following capabilities: In accordance with the attached Front Edge Shelve Drawing (P/N 200A930-1, Attachment 1), fabricate and deliver a steel mold and manufacture two (2) Prototype DSR Console Edging Front Shelves within 60 days of contract award, for first article testing and acceptance.Deliver 20 DSR Console Edging Front Shelves within 90 days of contract award.Deliver 20 DSR Console Edging Front Shelves per month for the remaining balance of 130 units. B. Demonstrate past performance in fabrication and manufacturing of the same or similar type devices including: Prototype Models and Mold DevelopmentFast Model Reproduction High Impact Tooling Vacuum Molding SystemsPlastic Mechanical Parts / Tools fabricationRubber to Metal BondingMetal Fabrication The capability statement must be submitted as a MS-Word document and the page size shall be 8 1/2 by 11 inches. Pages shall be consecutively numbered. The font size shall not be less than 12-point with single line spacing. The total number of pages shall not exceed 10. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey. Therefore, any cost associated with the market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor's expense.
