Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and issue an order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-08-G-0013 with Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) Portsmouth, RI to transition production of the ALFS Reel and Cable (R&C) to a U.S manufacturing facility and establish U.S suppliers for key R&C components (cable, wet end kit parts, dry end kit parts). Conformance of the U.S. based product shall be to all requirements of the current R&C without requiring changes to top level part number, repair documentation, maintenance documentation, installation documentation, or operational documentation. As the sole manufacturer and developer of the ALFS system, IDS is the only known source with the technical data, knowledge and technical experience necessary to perform this effort within the time frame required to meet the Governments needs.
