Description
CURRENTLY THERE ARE NO FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR THIS CONTRACT. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation at any time. This project is for the Repair of the driving surfaces in the Malmstrom AFB Missile Complex, (Great Falls) Montana. Work consists of the contractor providing all labor, equipment, transportation, materials, quality control and supervision necessary to repair the driving surfaces to include: the east side launcher driving surface will be extended to a 10 feet using 1 ½" engineered fill. At 21 sites a HDPE culvert with flared end treatment system placed on both ends 45 feet long will need to be placed in the existing eastside ditch, bedded, and covered with 1 ½" engineered fill. On 11 sites the Westside of the launcher will need to be extended to distance of 5-10 feet with 1 ½" engineered fill. Each aggregate source will need to be tested for soil gradation, plasticity index, liquid limit, optimum moisture content, and other items. The Contractor will also need to conduct a minimum of 2 or more compaction tests on each side of the driving surfaces. During construction, the Government will make every effort to provide the Contractor with sites in close proximity to each other( approximately 15-20 miles) in order to facilitate ease of construction and to keep mobilization efforts to a minimum in accordance with the project specifications and drawings. This Request For Proposal will be available on or about 29 January 2010. The Request For Proposal will close on or about 2 March 2010. The Performance Period for this project is two hundred and ten (210) calendar days after receiving the Notice to Proceed. The Notice to Proceed will be issued within 10 days after award. This acquisition is set-aside for HUBZone businesses. The Request For Proposal will be available by Electronic Transmission only at: http://www.fbo.gov. Potential contractors must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registry to be eligible for award. (See Internet Site: http://ccr.gov. All responsible sources may submit an offer good through 1 May 2010, which shall be considered by the agency. Potential contractors must also be currently registered with ORCA. (See Internet Site: http://orca.bpn.gov/ ). The magnitude or this project is between $100,000.00 and $500,000.00.
