Description
Project Description: The Base Bid shall include all labor, equipment, materials, and accessories necessary to perform all designated East Porch repairs as noted in the contract documents. These repairs incorporate a new lead coated copper roofing system which includes all flashings, reglets, gutters and downspouts. East Porch repairs also entail replacement of designated structural wood members, floor decking, fascias, balustrades and railings in accordance with RI Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission. All wood components will be scraped and painted. Work includes cleaning and repointing of exterior brick masonry wing walls at stairs. Brick walls shall be abated of lead paint and repainted. In addition to the East Porch repairs, the Base Bid scope of work covers replacement of designated deteriorated window sills on the South side, removal and re-installation of portions of the existing sidewalk to meet ADA requirements, and removal/patching and repointing of deteriorated stone and brick masonry exterior walls. These exterior masonry walls shall also be abated of lead paint and repainted. Bid Option One scope of work shall include all labor, equipment, materials, and accessories necessary to perform all designated West Porch repairs as noted in the contract documents. These repairs incorporate a new lead coated copper roofing system which includes all flashings, reglets, gutters and downspouts. West Porch repairs also entail replacement of designated structural wood members, floor decking, fascias, balustrades and railings in accordance with RI Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission. All wood components will be scraped and painted. West Porch scope of work includes minor mechanical work at the foundation level. Bid Option Two scope of work shall include all labor, equipment, materials, and accessories necessary to perform all designated South Porch repairs as noted in contract documents. These repairs incorporate a new lead coated copper roofing system which includes all flashings, reglets, gutters and downspouts. South Porch repairs also entail replacement of designated structural wood members, floor decking, fascias, balustrades and railings in accordance with RI Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission. All wood components will be scraped and painted. Work includes cleaning and repointing of exterior brick masonry wing walls at stairs. Brick walls shall be abated of lead paint and repainted. This procurment is set aside for HUBZONE vendors only. The estimated value is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. ESTIMATED bid due dates: 4 January 2010 for posting solicitation specifications and 4 February 2010 for bid due date.
