Description
The U.S. Army RDECOM Contracting Center, Natick Contracting Division, on behalf of the United States Army, Product Manager, Clothing and Individual Equipment (PM-CIE), has a requirement for the capability for competent contractors to factory permetherin treat Army deployed uniforms with a wash durable treatment that will meet or exceed the requirements set forth in this notice and the attached Draft Statement of Work (SOW). The Draft SOW is available on the Natick Contracting website (www3.natick.army.mil - Business Opportunities/Current Acquisitions/W9123120103023). The Government anticipates making multiple awards, but reserves the right to make a a single or no awards. This requirement will be a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this effort is 313312 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 Employees. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP). The Government intends to make multiple Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) Five-Year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) award as a result of the Request for Proposals (RFP). The Government intends to order a minimum of 60,000 treated uniforms and a maximum of 625,000 treated uniforms. The Government anticipates a five year ordering period. Industry is encouraged to identify any area in the Draft SOW that needs clarification in order to provide a responsive bid in the upcoming solicitation. The Government reserves the right to change any of the above stated requirements or quantities at any time prior to the release of the RFP. Comments relating to this synopsis should be submitted via email to Kevin Parker at kevin.james.parker@us.army.mil no later than 17 December 2009. The Government will not be providing written correspondence to received comments. The Government anticipates releasing the RFP on or about 18 December 2009 and will be open for twenty-one (21) days.
