Description
Recovery Act Project - A/E Extended Care Center Renovation This notice is for informational purposes only. This opportunity is available only to contractors under the VISN 23 A/E Contracts (V618P/BOA-4162a Bloom Engineers & Associates; V618P/BOA-4164a Dunham Associates, Inc.; V618P/BOA-4166a Rani Engineering; V618P/BOA-4167a Leo A. Daly; and V618P/BOA-4168a Wolfgram/Knutson Architects Ltd.). The Government anticipates entering into negotiations for a Task Order, with Wolfgram/Knutson Architects Ltd., 3140 Neil Armstrong Blvd., Suite 328, Minneapolis, MN 55121 for the architect-engineering services for this project. Project Description: Provide A/E services to renovate Extended Care Center area which is now referred to as Community Living Center (CLC). The VA has been mandated to upgrade their CLC units to provide a more comfortable home like environment. The environmental modifications shall be accomplished through small changes in the architectural layout, electrical and mechanical, and substantial interior design upgrades. Changes to patient rooms would include, but are not limited to: additional electrical outlets, to new flooring, decorative chair rail, painting, new over-the- bed lights, a shower bench that folds down from the wall, an upgraded shower head and lights in the showers. Changes to the main corridor would include, but are not limited to, new flooring, new wall covering, new handrails, and new doors and trim around each patient room. The A/E preparing the design-build scope of work shall also explore and recommend a viable option for storing stretchers, beds and BCMA carts within the wards. NAICS code 541310 applies to this procurement.
