Description
SOURCES SOUGHT/MARKET SURVEY NOTICE: The National Ground Intelligence Center is seeking industry feedback, to this sources sought notice, as a key component of the market research report. The intent of this requirement is to support the objectives of the U.S. Army Foreign Materiel Exploitation Program (FMEP), and its primary objectives. (1) To provide services to acquire technical support capabilities and facilities for the exploitation of foreign battlefield communications systems, battlefield electronic equipment and associated items, including, but not limited to: man-pack and vehicle mounted transceivers; radio receiving and transmitting equipment; satellite communications (SATCOM) systems; signal multiplexers and demultiplexers; signal formatting, routing and switching equipment; Integrated Battlefield Area Communications (IBAC) networks; electronic warfare equipment, including active and passive jamming equipment, jammer control stations, signals analysis equipment, and direction finding equipment; battlefield computers; and battlefield radar equipment. (2) To provide services to acquire technical support capabilities and facilities for the exploitation of foreign battlefield electro-optical devices, lasers and associated items, including, but not limited to: direct-view optics; passive and active near-infrared image intensifiers; thermal imagers; television systems; illuminators, laser rangefinders and target designators; directed energy weapons; beam rider lasers; optical-augmentation-based active targeting systems; and other associated battlefield imaging or sensor damage systems. (3) To provide services to determine material thermal, radar/electromagnetic and electro-optical/spectral characteristics. (4) This project will also allow for basic research into advanced communications and electronic technologies, advanced electro-optical and laser technologies, as well as assess the contribution the technology made to foreign systems' operational capability. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. This is merely a sources sought/market survey announcement, to seek industry sources for this requirement.
