Description
This procurement is a 100% small business set aside in accordance with FAR 19.502-2(a). The NAICS Code is 561210 and the small business size standard for this NAICS code is $35.5 million. The Maryland Army National Guard has a requirement for a commercial services acquisition, which may result in a solicitation for an indefinite-quantity contract. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of contractors who can support this requirement as a prime contractor. The period of performance for these services is expected to be a base year and four one-year option periods. The contractor will be required to provide catered food service for the Maryland Army National Guard. The requirements of this contract include the following meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. These meals shall resemble the portion, variety and quality expected at established restaurants. The contractor shall perform to the standards in the contract. Quantities for the base period: The MDARNG has the requirement to support scheduled training courses with approximately 18,000 over the course of Fiscal Year 2010. Estimate meal base Year: Breakfast:6,000 Lunch:6,000 Dinner:6,000 Total Estimated meals:18,000 Services would include full food and dining facility attendant services at Camp Baker Training Site located in Hancock, Maryland. The contractor shall refer to and comply with the State of Maryland Requirements for Food and Beverage Establishments Regulations. The Government requires that all contractors doing business with this agency must be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR). No award can be made to a company not registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR, please access the following web site: www.bpn.gov. In order to register, all firms must have a Dunn & Bradstreet Number. A Dunn & Bradstreet number may be acquired free of charge by contacting Dunn & Bradstreet on-line at https://www.dnb.com or by phone at (800) 333-0505. Contractors shall include the following information: (1) Company name, address, point of contact, and CAGE code; (2) Company type - small business, 8(a) certified small business, HUBZone certified small business, Service-disabled veteran owned small business, etc.; (3) Company capabilities, showing ability to perform the required services. This notice neither constitutes a Request for Proposal or Invitation for Bid, nor does it restrict the government to an ultimate acquisition approach.
