Description
The Stratton VA Medical Center, located at 113 Holland Ave., Albany NY 12208, intends to procure for preventative maintenance/service and on-call emergency support for a GE Healthcare Infinia II 3/8 HE4 Hawkeye Nuclear Imaging System. At this time, it has been determined due to proprietary software; GE Healthcare is the only possible provider. Therefore, the Government intends to sole source a full service firm fixed-price contract. This coverage will include full support for the Acquisition Station, Hawkeye (with tube), table, any other components, software support, and crystal coverage. The following equipment is to be covered by the terms and conditions: Infinia II 3/8 HE4 Nuclear Imaging System, GE model INDNV0019 Patient Table GE model 5197564 Acquisition Station Dell model 1708FPB 17" LCD Monitor 2 GE LEHR Collimator 2 GE MEGP Collimator 2 GE HEGP Collimator Ivy Biomedical model 3000 R-Wave Trigger GE Healthcare NM Xeleris 2 Full Workstation Nuclear Equipment Corp model LCD1990SXIBX Multisync LCD 1990SXI Color Monitor The base period of performance for this contract shall begin on January 1, 2010, and shall expire on September 30, 2010. This solicitation includes the provision of quotations for this base year, and four option years that may be exercised at the discretion of the government. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial applies to this acquisition. According to FAR 52.212-2 the Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors such as technical capability, delivery, and past performance will be considered. According to FAR any offers should also include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. (CCR, ORCA) The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items, (APR 2009) (Deviation) applies to this acquisition. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals prior to offer due date, which will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
