Description
RECOVERY THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THE ACTIONDESCRIBED HEREIN IS A MODIFICATION TO AN EXISTING CONTRACT (NNS07AB21C). AS SUCH, THISOPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE CONTRACTOR IDENTIFIED BELOW.This action has been awarded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009(ARRA) (PL 111-5). In compliance with the ARRA, the Government posts this notice thatmodification 000178 under contract NNS07AB21C was issued to Jacobs Technology, Inc. TheARRA work to be performed as a result of this contract modification includes: (1) LiquidOxygen (LOX) Barge Shipyard Repairs - repair the NASA owned Tug boat and one Liquidoxygen (LOX) barge. (2) Vacuum Monitoring Project - add a remote sensing and controlcapability to monitor the vacuum on five vacuum jacked vessels (3) Communication System upgrade the old communication system with a new and reliable intercom system for the A-1,A-2, B-1, and B-2 test stands and support facilities per existing design. (4) FireProtection and Gas Detection - upgrade the fire protection and gas detection capabilitiesin the test complex with new and reliable systems. (5) A-2 Liquid Oxygen (LOX) and LiquidHydrogen (LH) Transfer Line Repair/Replacement - provides support during therepair/replace and re-activation of the Lox and LH transfer systems for the A2 test stand(6) Liquid Oxygen (LOX) Barge Pumps Replacement to replace the old transfer pumps onfive of the Liquid oxygen (LOX) barges with new NASA Direct procured pumps, to increasereliability and reduce maintenance costs. (7) AJ26 Engine Facility Design, Build, andActivation Support - to provide facilities in support of the AJ26 Engine Test Program.This modification is issued under an existing Cost Plus Incentive Fee/Award Term (CPIF)/(AT) contract which was awarded on a competitive basis. This additional work is withinthe general scope of the contract and will not extend the contract period of performance.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. This announcement isfor information purposes only. All questions and/or concerns must be submitted in writingto the points of contact herein. An Ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note"B".
