- RECOVERY THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THE ACTIONDESCRIBED HEREIN IS A MODIFICATION TO AN EXISTING CONTRACT (NNS04AB62C). AS SUCH, THISOPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE CONTRACTOR IDENTIFIED BELOW.<P>This action has been awarded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009(ARRA) (PL 111-5). In compliance with the ARRA, the Government posts this notice thatmodification 000218 under contract NNS04AB62C was issued to Jacobs Technology, Inc. TheARRA work to be performed as a result of this contract modification includes: (1)Technical systems removal/replacement and refurbishment in supporting the Liquid Oxygen(LOX) barge shipyard repairs. (2) Design and installation of a Vacuum Monitoring systemat the SSC High Pressure Gas Facility (HPGF). (3) Complete communications system phasedinstallation, activation, and acceptance testing for the A-1, A-2, B-1, and B-2 teststands and support facilities. (4) System installation, activation, and acceptance forFire detection wire replacement, Hydrogen (H2) gas detection (H2 Gas Head Installation),and a new fire & gas annunciation system. (5) Secure High Pressure Gas Facility (HPGF)air compressor (C7) from the system and provide an engineering procurement package forrefurbishment. (6) Provide engineering, project oversight, and technical support duringthe disconnects, demolition, removal, reconnection, and re-activation of the LiquidOxygen (Lox) and Liquid Hydrogen (LH) transfer systems by a NASA direct contractor. (7)Replace the Lox pumps on five Lox barges, make required changes to existing systems toaccommodate the new pumps, and complete acceptance tests. (8) AJ26 Engine FacilityDesign, Build, and Activation Support. This modification is issued under an existing CostPlus Award Fee (CPAF) contract which was awarded on a competitive basis. This additionalwork is within the general scope of the contract and will not extend the contract periodof performance. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. Thisannouncement is for information purposes only. All questions and/or concerns must besubmitted in writing to the points of contact herein. An Ombudsman has been appointed.See NASA Specific Note "B".
