Description
The following questions and answers are provided: Q: PMG Demag Power Supply - What are the ratings (voltage, current, watts, etc) and features required for this power supply? Will a Gauss meter be required? A: The requirement is an 85 volt AC power supply with 1 volt resolution to provide demagnetizing PMG generators. The control can be accomplished either manually or automatically allowing the operator their choice. The supplier must provide a safety that scans the PMG output voltage. An excessively high voltage can damage a connected IDG. To avoid this the IDG is prevented from coming on-line unless the monitored output of the PMG fits the prescribed range. Electrical requirements: Volts= 0 to 85 VAC with 1 volt resolution Current= 10 A max. Freq.= 60 Hz. Time= 1 second burst Q: CSD Governor Demag/Remag Power Supply - What are the ratings (voltage, current, watts, etc) and features required for this power supply? Will a Gauss meter be required? A: The requirement is a power supply to provide for demag/remag capability for CSD governors. The power supply must be a DC power supply, which works in conjunction with the PMG demag power supply to provide demag/remag capability for CSD governors. Electrical requirements: Volts= 0 to 1600 VDC Open Circuit (unregulated) DC. It must have reversible polarity (it is not referenced to Ground and is a 'floating' supply). Current= 1 A max. Freq.= DC Time= 83 milli second burst (5 cycles at 60 Hz)
