Description
Sole Source Justifcation Letter WORK ASSIST VEHICLE: The solicitation number is FA8601-10-T-0066. CLOSING DATE: 4:00 PM 10 DECEMBER 2009. The NAICS Code is 333924. The size standard is 750 employees. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is Crown Lift Trucks, Vandalia, OH. The purchase is for two (2) WAV50-118 work assist vehicle(s) with optional equipment (battery-195AH, warning device light strobe, mast storage pockets 2ea. and hooks 2ea.). Crown Lift vehicles are currently being used and purchasing additional vehicles from this source will allow for interchanging parts and utilization of current inventory of spare parts. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Mr. Howard Marks, ASC/AQ, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, 45433, has been appointed as Ombudsman to hear concerns from offerors, or potential offerors, during the proposal development. The purpose of the Ombudsman is to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. Existence of the Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or the contracting officer. Accordingly, the Ombudsman does not participate in the preparation of solicitations, the evaluation of proposals or the source selection process and, therefore, for routine matters on individual solicitations, please contact the buyer at the telephone number listed herein.
