- This is a sources sought notification/synopsis for market research purposes only, and is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). A solicitation is not being issued at this time and this notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Regional Contracting Office (RCO) MCI-WEST, MCB, Camp Pendleton, CA is anticipating to award a single source Indefinite-Delivery Requirements Type contract via a competitive 8(a) source selection. The RCO - MCI-WEST has a requirement to provide aircraft maintenance and technical support services for the AV-8B Harrier aircraft at Marine Corps Air Stations Yuma, AZ and Cherry Point, NC. See attached Performance Work Statement (PWS) for detailed information pertaining to this requirement. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 488190 and the size standard is $7.0 M. Source sought responses are requested from potential SBA certified 8(a) firms or 8(a) Joint Venture entities. Respondents shall (1) indicate all of the following small business categories that apply: 8(a) certified firm, Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB), Historically Underfutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), Service Diabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOB); (2) provide an outline of the firms experience to include specific projects of relevant work completed or in progress of equivalent magnitude (include contract numbers), description of work, points of contact, phone number and e-mail addresses if available; (3) the firm's/venture's current bonding capability: and (4) any other information deemed pertinent that will aid in our assessment of the firms capabilities. Interested potential contractors shall limit their response to this sources sought notice to a maximum of 5 pages. Electronic responses shall be provided no later than December 11 December 2009. This Sources Sought notice is for planning purposes only and shall not be understood as a commitment by the Government to either issue a solicitation or enter into any contract. This information is sought as part of formal market research in preparation for a possible solicitation.
