- The VA intends to award a one year contract for Radio IsotopesInformation is requested by using a Sources Sought inquiry This announcement is to Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Women-Owned Small Business, Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns that may be interested in performing a contract for the Palo Alto, VA Northern California Health Care System. The work to be performed is described below. Based upon response to this announcement, the Government may determine to set this acquisition aside or proceed with an unrestricted solicitation. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 325412 and the related small business size standard is 750 employees. This notice is not a request for proposal and the information presented in this announcement will not obligate the Department of Veterans Affairs in any manner. Interested parties should include the following information in their response: (a) Business name, address, cage code, Duns number; size classification based on NAICS size standard, Socioeconomic Classification and a Point of Contact; (b) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Annual Representations and Certifications, are required by FAR 4.1102. Prospective contractors must be registered prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an Offeror ineligible for award. Information on CCR registration can be obtained via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Information on annual Representations and Certifications (ORCA) can be obtained via the Internet at http://orca.bpn.gov ; (c) A positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a prime contractor; (d) Evidence of your experience performing work similar in type and scope to the work in this announcement within the last five years. The evidence should include: Contract Numbers, Project Titles, Dollar Amounts and Points of Contacts with telephone numbers. Please do not include more than three past projects; (e) Include company assets information, personnel resources and financial resources that demonstrate company responsibility and capability to perform required work. (e) Indicate if you would be manufacture of the pharmaceuticals; (f) If you are not the manufacturer - you must supply information as to the name and size of your supply source. Interested parties are encouraged to respond to this notice, by e-mail to Christine Peterson christine.a.peterson3@va.gov not later than close of business on: 8 Dec 2009. The principal components of the work to be performed include: Deliver requested radiopharmaceuticals as listed on the attached "Pharmaceuticals Listing" to the Palo Alto VA Health Care System (VAPAHCS). The Contractor must provide single unit doses of radiopharmaceuticals and associated materials to VAPAHCS as ordered and at the agreed upon price. Orders will be placed each day (Monday thru Friday by 4:30PM) to be delivered the next business day by 7:00 AM. Additional orders may be placed throughout the business day for same day delivery. Proposals will be considered only from Offerors who are regularly established in the producing of the listed radiopharmaceuticals and are able to deliver the product promptly and provide reliable service to the customer. Must be licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and be established in the business of providing radiopharmaceuticals. Offeror must provide copies of licenses and certifications accompanying the quote. Must be able to provide a complete and adequate supply of the required products at all times for the distribution point. All radioactive materials must be clearly labeled RADIOACTIVE on the outside of the shipping carton. Due to the heavy demands of the Palo Alto Medical Center patient care requirements, contractor must provide routine delivery and pick-up as many times as required by the VAPAHCS - at no additional cost to the government. When additional orders are placed during the normal business day for same day delivery - deliveries must arrive within one (1) hour of the placed order. Normal hours are considered business days - Monday thru Friday, 7:00am thru 5:30pm. Emergency orders placed after normal hours are to be delivered within 1 hours after an order is placed.
