Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Note: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island is NOT accepting quotes or proposals via submission through NECO. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, Newport, Rhode Island intends to purchase pump shaft assemblies IAW Dwg. 6407150, Rev. B, qty. 3 in support of the Virginia class submarine. Three one year options for two (2) impeller sleeves IAW Dwg. 6407109, Rev. B will be included; however, it is anticipated only one of the options will be exercised. Vendor must be JCP certified to receive drawings and/or specifications, which will be provided upon release of solicitation #N66604-10-R-0611. Drawings and/or specifications will be mailed at the vendor's expense under separate cover. A firm fixed price type contract is anticipated. NAICS Code is 333911, Size Standard is 500 employees. This requirement is unrestricted. Further details will be provided in solicitation #N66604-10-0611, which is anticipated to be released on or about 12/31/09. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) and ORCA (http://orca.bpn.gov/) to be eligible for award. Instructions for registration are available at the websites. Evaluation factors are technical capability, price and past performance. Each is equally important. Required delivery is 50 wks. ARO or exercise of option, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI.
