- Description
- This is a notice of the Government's intent to extend the period of performance and increase the contract dollar value for the current Weapons, Systems, and Technology Information Analysis Center (WSTIAC) contract. The contract is schedule to expire 30 March 2010. The intent is to extend the present performance period up to 2 years from 31 March 2010 through 30 March 2012. If executed, the estimated value of the contract will be increase by $161M. The Government intends to negotiate with the incumbent contractor, Alion Science and Technology, on a sole-source basis. This extension will permit the continuation of performance of the current WSTIAC contract while the requirement is re-competed. This is a non-commercial, Cost-Plus-Fix-Free, Requirement, Research & Development contract that was awarded on a competitive basis. This is neither a Request for Proposal nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the Government not to complete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the Government's discretion. Information received by close of business 14 December 2009 will be considered by the government solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition.
