- Description
- The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is seeking sources for Information Technology (IT) products acquisition and management. This is a sources sought notice only and vendors will not be compensated for the information provided. No solicitation will be issued at this time. TSA Office of Information Technology (OIT) supports a diverse customer base by delivering IT products and services that support the mission and business requirements for every office throughout TSA. OIT provides centralized management and leadership of TSA's information technology needs. OIT is committed to using best practices, streamlining business processes, improving performance, and striving for excellence in support of TSA's mission. To that end, OIT will: • Provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing TSA IT initiatives. • Develop, coordinate, implement and manage central policies and procedures for all of TSA's IT requirements. • Manage and oversee an effective security architecture that protects TSA's information systems and networks from internal and external threats. • Develop and implement enterprise-wide common applications and systems resulting in efficient, cost-effective, secure and interoperable solutions to customer requirements. • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations. OIT is seeking available sources for the following tasks: 1.) Provide a standard line of IT equipment that meets the needs of TSA-OIT, providing a common platform to increase compatibility, and reduces the cost of upgrade implementation. 2.) Provide OIT approved hardware and software through a web based ordering system or portal to simplify the acquisition process. 3.) Ensure that the products offered through the portal are technologically up-to-date, best price, and fully compatible with TSA's IT infrastructure. 4.) Plan all logistics and deployment of products. 5.) Assemble, tag, inventory, image, package, deliver, and install products so they are in "ready to use" condition. 6.) Provide and manage warranties for the products acquired. 7.) Manage software assets. (Provide, maintain, update, etc) ADMINISTRATIVE All interested parties should submit a capability statement to the TSA Office of Acquisition (OA). The capability statement should clearly explain the contractor's abilities and experience directly related to the tasks listed in this notice. Submissions shall not exceed three (3) pages in length. A company must identify its business size status, type of small business, and applicable NAICS code(s) in the capability statement. Capability statements are required to be received electronically via email to jason.zick@tsa.dhs.gov. Subject: IT Acquisition and Management Sources, no later than December 11, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Responses received after this deadline will not be reviewed. TSA's primary point of contact is the Contract Specialist, Mr. Jason Zick, who can be reached via e-mail at jason.zick@tsa.dhs.gov. TSA's secondary point of contact is Ms. Claudia Mejia-Forte, who can be reached via e-mail at claudia.mejia-forte@dhs.gov. Any questions regarding this notice shall be directed to both Mr. Zick and Ms. Mejia-Forte in writing, via email by December 8, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Companies responding to this Sources Sought Notification are responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this Notification. (Note: TSA will not pay any costs associated with this effort). The TSA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. Since this Sources Sought Notification is for information and planning purposes, no evaluation letters or results will be issued to respondents.
