Description
THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER FSS Schedule 84, Category 246 42 2RECOVERY - It is the intent of VA to purchase two 750 ton water-cooled centrifugal chillers against FSS Schedule 84 Category 246 42 2 for installation as Government-furnished Contractor-installed equipment under a future construction contract scheduled to be awarded in February 2010. Each chiller must meet the following technical requirements: 1.750 ton water-cooled centrifugal chiller, cooling 1634 gpm of water from 55.0F to 44.0F when supplied with 2250 gpm of condenser water at 85.0F. 2.460 v, 3 phase, 60 Hertz with Variable Speed Drive (VSD), controls at 115 v, single phase. VSD shall be factory mounted and wired. 3.The centrifugal compressor drive shall be an "open style" drive to enable the replacement of the electrical motor without disassembly of the compressor. A "closed drive" may be substituted if a ten (10) year, parts and labor warranty is provided for the compressor drive assembly. 4.Power input shall not exceed 406 KW with an NPLV of 0.361, and full load shall not exceed 0.555 kw/ton, as measured by ARI Standard 550/590 equation. 5.Pressure drop of 14.6 ft across evaporator and 11.5 ft across condenser. 6.2 passes on both barrels, 0.025" tube thickness. 7.Provide an HFC refrigerant that has an Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) of ZERO, and that has no refrigerant production phase-out date and no phase out date for equipment that uses that refrigerant. 8.Marine water boxes on the condenser barrel. Straight head on the evaporator barrel. 9.Rated for 150 psig water side pressure. 10.Victaulic connections. 11.Isolation valves. 12.The end plate/supports must be 14'-0" apart to land on the existing structural floor footings. 13.Factory mounted and wired flow sensors for condenser and chilled water. 14.Factory installed 1-1/2" thermal insulation for evaporator. 15.BACNet (MS/TP) E-Link for LCD Chiller Control Panel. 16.NEMA 1 Control Panel and Wiring, 40-110 Ambient. 17.ASHRAE Standard 90.1 Compliance Label. 18.Chiller start up, training and 18 month parts and labor warranty. It is anticipated the FSS RFQ will be issued on or about 12/7/09 with responses due 12/17/09
