- Description
- RECOVERY PER FAR 5.7, THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY; THERFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER: W91278-07-D-0002, Engineering Design Technologies, Inc. The Mobile District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is placing a task order against Contract No. W91278-07-D-0002, Engineering Design Technologies, Inc., said contract being dated 27 November 2006, which has already been competed and awarded as an Indefinite Delivery Contract for AE Design Services. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Cadd Code AE00001. This project consists of the design of a storm water infrastructure system to provide additional stormwater capacity by attenuating peak flows in an upper tributary (No. 3) of Noonday Creek in Cobb County, Georgia. The proposed facility impoundment will intercept a 1.7 square mile drainage area and would be constructed along Noonday Creeks upper tributary No.3, north of Williams Drive, NE, south of Mark Avenue NE, east of Bells Ferry Road NE, and west of Canton Road Connector NE, at latitude 33o5944 north and longitude 84o3232 west, in Cobb County, Georgia. No existing underground utility relocation is involved in this project. The footprint of the earthen fill for this proposed impoundment is roughly 90 X 300 feet. The proposed stormwater flow control structure that is proposed to be located within the impoundment structure will consist of a concrete weir and multi-barreled reinforced concrete culvert. Energy dissipation and bank stabilization measures shall be designed to prevent erosion of the channel and banks downstream.
