Description

The purpose of this solicitation is to establish Requirements type contract for basic year with one option for spares repair in support of the L-Band Satcom Radio Set, Receiver; NSN 5826-01-412-0738CX, P/N 403024-001 with a best estimated quantity of 48 ea., and Amplifier NSN: 5996-01-414-3626CX P/N 403001-006 with a best estimated quantity of 5 ea. The L-Band Satcom is part of the Inmarsat Network of Geostationary Satellites providing Worldwide Communications. The Radio set is a receiver transmitter that provides automatic data reporting and message transfer of position reports, performance data, and operational messages on a global basis. The amplifier is attached to the receiver and processes the messages to ensure good transfer of data and communication. The Government physically does not have or own a complete data package or testing equipment to compete and qualify a second repair source. Thrane & Thrane, Inc, Cage Code: 0U8J3, is Only Responsible Source, and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
