- Solicitation Document THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) PROCUREMENT RECOVERY- TNF Visitor Center Audio Visual Integration The U.S. Forest Service, EROC-NW, servicing Region 10 has a requirement to obtain (a) a new audio-visual system for the Southeast Alaska Discovery Center theater; (b) audio-visual integration of the Southeast Alaska Discovery Center exhibits; and (c) a new audio-visual system for the Mendenhall Glacier Visitors Center theater. The contractor is responsible for the planning, procurement, installation, testing of all hardware and av integration required for the Southeast Alaska Discovery Center theatre and exhibits and the theater at the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center. The installation of projection, playback, sound, lighting, and attendant hardware and AV integration at these two Visitor Center Facilities is needed to accommodate one each, 13-15 minute, True High Definition museum-quality films, and other audio visual presentations such as DVDs, lecture series, remote laptop driven presentations such as power point; and, at Southeast Alaska Discovery Center upgraded AV integration in existing exhibits in the Natural Resources and Ecosystems rooms. The Forest Service is seeking hardware solutions for these facilities for movies, presentations, special events, and other as yet unknown productions. The contractor has responsibility for doing their own design and then installing the equipment. **THIS IS A COMBINED SOLICITATION/SYNOPSIS--QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED** These visitor centers are located at: Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center, 8510 Mendenhall Loop Road, Juneau AK 99801 Southeast Alaska Discovery Center, 50 Main Street, Ketchikan AK 99901 **NOTES** --Additional work details are outlined in the attached solicitation. --There will not be a Pre-proposal meeting offered by the Government for site inspection. The Government intends to award a contract(s) resulting from this solicitation to the responsible Contractor whose proposal conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and technical factors considered. The following evaluation factors shall be used to evaluate quotes: Past Performance; Quality of Aural and Visual Experience; Operations and Maintenance Ease; Flexibility and Independence for Other Uses; Proven Technology; Ruggedness, Reliability, Supportability; and Price. The non-price evaluation factors are approximately equal to price. This acquisition is a 100% Small Business set-aside. The North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 512110. The size standard is $29.5 million. Contractors are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). The solicitation with specifications and Service Contract Act wage rates will be posted to the FedBizOps website www.fbo.gov. No hard copies of the solicitation and applicable amendments will be mailed or issued. To receive the solicitation and any applicable amendments, offerors must download them from www.fbo.gov.
