Description
This is a market survey to locate/identify potential sources. The US Army is considering the issuance of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for procurement of the Aviators Night Vision Imaging Systems (ANVIS) AN/AVS-6(V)1A and AN/AVS-6(V)3, and associated spare parts including 18mm Third Generation image intensifier tubes for these devices. The Army has placed an increased priority on its entire night vision capability in order to be able to operate as well at night as in the day. In order to satisfy this priority, it is critical that the night vision systems necessary to achieve this capability be procured. This market survey is for planning purposes only and does not constitute an Invitation for Bid, a Request for Quotation, or a Request for Proposal, and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the U.S. Government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. The U.S. Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any company or entity that responds to this announcement. This announcement is issued for informational planning purposes only. Submitting information for this announcement is voluntary, and participants will not be compensated. The lack of response will not exclude you from any future procurements that might occur. Your response to this Market Survey does not constitute the start of negotiations. System Description: The AN/AVS-6(V)1A and AN/AVS-6(V)3 are Enhanced Gen III I2 Night Vision Systems designed for use in military aircraft by pilots/crew during night operations to include low altitude Nap-of-the-Earth (NOE) flight. Each AN/AVS-6(V)1A system utilizes two MX-10160A/UV configuration Image Intensifier Tubes. The AN/AVS-6(V)3 incorporates a low profile battery pack and fine adjustment objective lens assemblies along with two enhanced Gen III MX-10160C/UV configured image intensifier. The minimum performance requirements for these devices and components are expected to be the performance requirements of the OMNIBUS VI Contract DAAB07-02-C-J008. RESPONSES: Send your contact and product information to PM Soldier Sensors and Lasers, ATTN: Jaime Gonzalez, 10170 Beach Rd, Bldg 325, Ft. Belvoir, VA 22060.
