Description
The Directorate of Contracting, Fort Bliss, TX, is searching for sources that are small businesses capable of providing commercial buses with drivers for the mobilization of military and civilian personnel within Fort Bliss, Texas; Biggs AAF, Texas; McGregor Base Camp/Range, NM; Dona Ana Base Camp, NM; and FOB Westbrook, NM. This notice is to solicit interest from SMALL BUSINESS vendors. Information submitted by respondents is for planning and market research purposes only and will not be publicly released. This is not a request for competitive proposals and will not result in a contract award, nor will the government pay for information received as a result of this notice. SB sources must have the capability to provide charters that may be required to transport personnel within three states; Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Buses shall have the capacity of 47 passengers or 57 passengers, mission dependent. The estimated maximum quantity of buses that may be requested at one time is 20 buses, each with drivers. Buses must be available within 48 hours upon notification from the Government. Contractor shall be certified in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) Regulation concerning the driving time and safety of each driver; where applicable a replacement driver must be provided based on DPS and DOT Regulations. Contractor must ensure that all drivers have a current CDL License and meet all three state DPS and DOT requirements for Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Contractor must provide a suitable bus replacement in case of a mechanical breakdown. All buses shall have proper working air conditioners, latrines, windows and doors. Since this a sources sought announcement only, no evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the respondents. No solicitation exists and vendors should not request a copy of a solicitation. Fort Bliss is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. Individuals or businesses interested in responding to this notice are requested to contact Mr. Thomas Youngs via email at thomas.youngs@us.army.mil. All responses to this notice must be received by 3:00 pm, December 14, 2009 and state Bus Charter Services in the subject line or it will be deleted as junk mail; capabilities and DUNS must be included in the email.
