- Description
- The following amendment Two(2) is to correct amendment one (1) information: 1) Question: The specs for the Compute Node requests for the chassis to be a 1U rackmount and 2 compute nodes within each rackmount. So if you’re requesting (4) 1U rackmounts, then you’re looking to have (8) compute nodes correct? NIST response: No, NIST is looking for 4 compute nodes in 2 1U rackmounts 2) Questions: Each 1U rackmount will have (2) Quad-Core Xeon CPU’s, which means one CPU per node correct? NIST Response: Each 1U rackmount will have 2 nodes. Each node will have 2 Quad-Core Xeon CPUs, so 2 CPUs per node. So that’s 2 (1U rackmounts) x 2 (nodes per 1U rackmount) x 2 (Quad-Core Xeon CPUs per node) x 4 (cores per CPU) = 32 (cores). Adding the head unit makes 36 (cores).
