Description
On or about 16 October 2009, the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Baltimore District intends to issue an unrestricted proposal for the construction of a medical administrative building. This facility is part of BRAC plans to consolidate facilities currently in different locations in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The contract will require a 22,300 square foot multi story structure. Construction includes foundations, building information systems, intrusion detection systems, uninterruptable power supply, fire sprinkler system and loading dock. Ancillary tasks/facilities include a retention pond, site improvements and utility relocations. The procurement is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220. The estimated magnitude of construction is $5 million to $10 million. This contract will be solicited by RFP and competitive proposals will be evaluated on the evaluation factors set forth in the solicitation package. Separate technical and cost proposals will be evaluated. The award will be made to the Offeror whose proposal is considered most advantageous to the Government, cost and other factors considered. Large firms will be required to submit a subcontracting plan with their proposal. All responsible sources may submit a proposal. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format free of charge, to all registered plan holders. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be the internet only. All contractors/offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for award of a federal contract.
