- RECOVERY: This pre-solicitation notice is to inform that the VA Medical Center, Bath, New York will be posting a solicitation on or about 12/14/09 to Replace the Campus Wide Electrical Distribution System, Project No. 528A6-08-611. This Project includes construction of a new medium voltage ductbank, manhole, and cable systems to serve the existing campus buildings. The new medium voltage loop systems extend around the entire VA site, and are tied into existing site mounted switchgear adjacent to the individual buildings. The work includes new medium voltage pad mounted switchgear for Building 41, and a pad mounted transformer for Building 44. The Project will also include excavation, detailed phasing sequence, and termination work in the existing manholes and switchgear for cutovers to the new medium voltage loop systems. Temporary power generators and distribution will be required for outages to selected buildings for continuity of operations. Site restoration work will be included for both paved and non-paved areas. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses. The NAICS code is 238210. The small business standard is $14 M. The cost range is $2,000,000 to $5,000,000. Information regarding the one and only site visit scheduled will be stated in the Solicitation. A 20% Bid Bond must be submitted with the bid. Performance and Payment bonds will be required.
