- A.GENERAL INFORMATIONPLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES OR PROPOSALS, BUT IS FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT TO BE MISCONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT AND THE GOVERNMENT MAY OR MAY NOT ISSUE SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS IN THE FUTURE. RESPONDERS ARE SOLEY RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH RESPONDING TO THIS RFI. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 3), Network Acquisitions and Logistics program is surveying the market for qualified firms, within NAICS code 339112, with the ability to supply "PATIENT-CONTROLLED ANALGESIC PUMPS" which have the specifications outlined below, for the following VISN 3 VA Medical Centers: (1) Bronx, James J. Peters VA Medical Center, 130 West Kingsbridge Rd., Bronx, NY 10468; (2) Brooklyn Campus, VA New York Harbor Health Care System, 800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, NY 11209; (3) New York Campus, VA New York Harbor Healthcare System, 423 East 23rd Street, New York, NY 10010; (4) St. Albans Campus, VA New York Harbor Health Care System, 179th St. & Linden Boulevard, St. Albans, NY 11425 (5) East Orange Campus, VA New Jersey Health Care System, 385 Tremont Avenue, East Orange, NJ 07018; (6) Lyons Campus, VA New Jersey Health Care System, 151 Knollcroft Road, Lyons, NJ 07939; (7) Montrose Campus, VA Hudson Valley Health Care System, Route 9A, Montrose, NY 10548; (8) Castlepoint Campus, VA Hudson Valley Health Care System, Castlepoint, NY 12511; (9) Northport VA Medical Center, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY 11768. B.REQUIRED PRODUCTS AND PERFORMANCE: (1) Multiple uses including at a minimum: Intravenous, Subcutaneous, Epidural, Intra-arterial, Intraperitoneal, Intraoperative, Subarachnoid space infusion; (2) Multi-Drug protocol capability with multiple methods of delivery; (3) Light weight (no more than 2 lbs) and ambulatory with shoulder bag attachment; (4) Drug Error Reduction System; (5) Cassette keypad AND lock system with three security lockout levels; (6) Ease of programming and readability with color coded infusion protocols and contains hard and soft limits; (7) Capable to interface with VA computer system (wireless AND non-wireless); (8) Customizable software; (9) Protocol library can be installed on both network server and administrator PC; (10) Administrator software allows users to print barcode labels, view personalized reports, connects to barcode scanner and send protocol library to infusion pump; (11) Advanced connectivity capability for data exchange with VA hospital network (i.e., CPRS or BCMA); (12) Administrator software allows usage history or usage report to be sent back to server database. (13) MUST be able to generate its own bar code; (14) Versatile medication profile including but not limited to: Morphine, Dilaudid, Fentanyl and patient individualized mixtures; (15) Allows up to 500 therapy specific drug protocols which can be uploaded to individual pumps or maintained on the network; (16) Customer Service available 24 hrs/7days a week following in-services. C.ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SHOULD SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING: 1.Responders to this notice shall email their capabilities directly to the Contracting Officer referencing the following in the subject field, "Patient-Controlled Analgesic Pumps Sources Sought", then include the following information within the body of the e-mail: name of firm, Socio-Economic category (i.e., SDVOSB, VOSB, 8A, HUBZONE or SMALL BUSINESS), complete address, phone & fax number of contact. RESPONDERS MUST BE CLASSIFIED UNDER NAICS 339112 (SIZE STANDARD=500 EMPLOYEES). 2.The responder must also provide "REFERENCES" for providing same or similar products. 3.Responders must have at least FIVE YEAR OF SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE. Preferred if the responder had provided same or similar services to other VA Medical Center throughout the United States. 4.Responses must specify if firm an active registration has on CCR (Central Contractor Registration). 5.Responses must specify if firm provides these products on GSA and/or FSS. 6.Responses must specify the company's DUNS # under which these products are available. 7.All emails must be received by 4 PM on the 14th of December, 2009.
