Description

Recovery - Replacement of 10,000 Gallon Steel Water Storage Tank at the Richard Cronin National Salmon Station. TAS: 14-1610 2009/2010 FFS Project #: R5PU The Northeast Region of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is extending a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a firm fixed price contract for construction services at the Richard Cronin National Salmon Station, located in the Town of Sunderland, County of Franklin, MA, under the provisions of FAR Part 15, "Contracting By Negotiation". This action is a TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE executed in accordance with FAR Part 19. The contractor will provide all labor, equipment and materials necessary to replace a 10,000 gallon steel water storage tank. The major items of work include the purchase and installation of a tank, along with tank coatings, tank jacket, ladder, manhole vent, relocation of float switches, drain, connecting the new tank to the hatchery to provide an operational water delivery system, and site clean up/restoration, in accordance with the provided technical specifications and drawings. The magnitude of this work is estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000. The NAICS code corresponding to this work is 237110, with a small business standard of $33.5 million annually. The Davis Bacon wage rates will apply to this contract. This station is located in Franklin County, MA. The solicitation, technical specifications and drawings will be posted on or around 12/18/2009 and proposals will be due by 2:00pm on 01/18/2009. No telephone requests will be accepted. A Bid Bond at 20% and Performance and Payment Bonds at 100% are required. A business must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov, and must have completed Online Representations and Certifications (ORAC) at www.bpn.gov, to be eligible for award. A site visit may be arranged by contacting the Richard Cronin National Salmon Station Manager at (413) 548-9010. The station is located at 51 East Plumtree Road in Sunderland, MA.
