- MOJAVE DISCOVERY CENTER SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE Bureau of Land Management, Department of the Interior, National Operations Center, Denver, Colorado has a requirement for the construction of a new complete and functioning Environmental Education/Multi-purpose facility with all associated systems including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, security, telephone/data, communications, as well as all floor, wall and ceiling finishes, fixtures, and built-in cabinets. Major components of the facility include: 1) General site work, pathway, utilities, landscaping, and amenities. 2) New Education/Multi-purpose facility and elevated entry walk. The building will undergo the US Green Building Councils LEED certification process with an anticipated award of Gold. Contractor shall have demonstrated experience with the LEED rating system and show expertise in construction activity pollution prevention, waste management, recycling, documenting material recycled content, location of manufacturer, execution of indoor air quality management plan during construction and before occupancy, and other areas critical to the successful achieving of the LEED rating. Work is located in Las Vegas, Clark County, NV. It is anticipated work shall begin May 2010 with a 12 month period of performance. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. NAICS code is 236220, with a size standard $33.5 million. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The intent of this sources sought notice is to identify potential offerors. A determination by the government on how to compete this proposed action based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. All responsible sources may submit a response reflecting their qualifications via email to Diana Davis, Contracting Officer at dmdavis@blm.gov. Responses must address the following information 1. Geographic location of business 2. Size of business (large/small) 3. socio-economic criteria (8A, HUBZone, SDVO, etc.) 4. Statement of contractors past performance of the same or similar work with LEED requirements 5. Statement of bonding capacity.
