- A MARKET SURVEY is being conducted to determine if there are adequate Small Business, HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors for the following proposed project: Construct a three-story, 60 room reserve lodging facility to meet new Air Force design standards including private bathrooms. Distinguished visitor suites, handicap accessible suites, elevator, fire stairs, fire sprinklers and mechanical spaces are included. Construction materials will include CMU walls, brick veneer exterior, standing seam metal roof. All AF, ADA, energy, and communications standards will be used. All utilities, site work and pavements will be included. Demolition of buildings 216 and 217 shall be completed. This completed project shall be able to receive a United States Green Building Council (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating of Silver. The proposed project shall be designed and constructed according to current AT/FP standards. Air Conditioning: 100 Tons. NOTE: DOES NOT INLCLUDE LAND ACQUISITION Contract duration is 490 days and estimated cost range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. NAICS is 236220. All interested HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should notify this office in writing by mail on or before December 10, 2009, 2:00 pm, Eastern Time. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of the company to be certified by the Small Business Administration as a HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project, (3) Past Experience - Provide descriptions your firms past experience on projects with greater than 90% construction complete or those projects completed within the last five years which are similar to this project in size, scope, and dollar value. Projects considered similar in scope to this project include: condominiums, apartments, dormitories, hotels, assisted living spaces, etc. Projects similar in size will include: new construction projects with a total of 3,000 SM. Projects of similar dollar value will include: new construction projects with an original contract amount in excess of $7.5M.With each project experience provided, include the date when the project was completed or will be complete, location of the project, contract amount and size of the project, the portion and percentage of work that was self performed, whether the project was design/build or not, and a description of how the experience relates to the proposed project.
