- The Naval Research Laboratory intends to award to General Electric Company, on other than full and open competitive basis, a contract for 1 each contractor to provide design guidance (including number, placement and shaping) for fluidic area ratio control as a new noise reduction technique; consult with NRL on extrapolation of the near field data from the NRL simulations to far field noise predictions; provide guidance on implementation issue and system impacts on proposed noise reduction technologies as it relates to the DOD SERDP project on noise reduction. This work shall only be done during normal business hours. On-Site visit required to the Naval Research Laboratory 4555 Overlook Avenue SW Washington, DC 20375. Additional specifications will appear in the RFQ. Sole source based on a having unique requirements to Masonry Preservation Service Inc. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
