- REQUEST FOR QUOTE # RFQ425090 The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Lebanon, Pennsylvania requires the purchase of a hemodialysis system. The hemodialysis system will include a hemodialysis machine, water purification system and a dialyzer. This system must be highly computerized and continuously monitor an array of safety-critical parameters, including blood and dialysate flow rates; dialysis solution conductivity, temperature, and pH; and analysis of the dialysate for evidence of blood leakage or presence of air. Any reading that is out of normal range will trigger an audible alarm to alert the patient-care technician who is monitoring the patient. Department of Veterans Affairs, Lebanon, Pennsylvania intends to purchase the equipment needed under Medical Healthcare Equipment Federal Supply Schedule Contract awarded by the National Acquisition Center (NAC), Hines, Illinois to the schedule holder offering the best value considering price, compatibility and availability. This is an urgent need, the equipment is needed before December 31, 2009. A purchase order will be issued against the Federal Supply Contract. Pricing are due by 4:00PM. As prescribed in 32.705-1(a), insert the following clause in solicitations and contracts if the contract will be chargeable to funds of the new fiscal year and the contracting action is to be initiated before the funds are available: Availability of Funds (Apr 1984) Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer.
