SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS ONLY A SURVEY OF THE MARKET TO DETERMINE IF THERE ARE POTENTIALCONTRACTORS THAT CAN SATISFY THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS The Department of Veterans Affairs, Miami VA Healthcare System, is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB). The Miami VA is seeking Architect/Engineer (NAICS 236210) firms capable of preparing all design documentation including, but not limited to, advance/master planning and design of corrections of HVAC and clinical deficiencies in the Miami, FL area. Prime contractor should have, at least, the following Florida licensed/registered specialty disciplines be members of the firm, or team, with demonstrable expertise in their respective fields: Architects; Medical Planners; Structural, Mechanical, Geo-technical, Communication, and Electrical Engineers; Interior Designers, independent Commissioning Agents and Cost Estimators with experience in the planning and design of hospitals, large medical and research facilities, surgical facilities, ambulatory care facilities, or similar complex healthcare projects, both new construction and renovation. Required services will include preparation of schematics, design development plans, including all appropriate architectural and engineering disciplines, and firm estimates of construction costs. Probable Scope: The Miami VA Health Care System, Miami, Fl., proposes to award a contract to multiple SDVOSBs and or VOSBs to provide AE Services as stated above. The successful awardees will receive Tasks Orders not exceeding $50,000.00 for small projects and not exceeding $750,000.00 for large orders. Required services will include preparation of schematics and design development plans, including all appropriate architectural and engineering disciplines, third party reviews, construction phase services and firm estimates of construction costs. The base period for the IDIQ contract will be from date of award thru 30 September 2010 and four one year option periods. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business and Veteran Owned Small Business capable of providing these types of Architect/Engineering Services should submit their company information and point of contact to kenneth.williams546@va.gov not later the 4 December 2009.
