- This requirement is for Broadband Dual Coaxial Cable Local Area Network Support to engineer, furnish, install, extend, cutover, test and perform all work necessary in order for the Broadband Dual Coaxial Cable Local Area Network (LAN) at Tobyhanna Army Depot to support multimedia functions, (e.g., two way data communications, audio visual media) so that the entire LAN may operate as one system. The requirement is broken out into the following sections: Maintenance (Preventive and Remedial), Recertification, Remedial On-Call Maintenance and LAN Drops. These services are required on a continuous basis as the Depot wide Public Address and Audio Visual Information System (PAVIS) utilizes the Broad Band LAN as its backbone and this systems provides for paging and visual messaging. Prolonged interruptions or degradations of the network or any portion thereof would cause a significant impact on productivity and impede the depots mission. The Broadband Dual Coaxial Cable Local Area Network is comprised of, but not limited to, approximately 31 miles of cable plant. In accordance with FAR 19.702(b)(1), this requirement has been designated as a 100% small business set-aside. NAICS code is 811212, Size Standard is 25 Million. This acquisition will be pursued in accordance with FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. It is anticipated that the Government will issue a firm fixed price contract. The estimated period of performance is a base period of twelve (12) months with an option to extend for four additional twelve month periods. There is no government furnished equipment under this contract. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available electronically at the following Internet address: Interactive Business Opportunity Page (IBOP) at https://abop.monmouth.army.mil on or about fifteen (15) days from the date of this announcement. The solicitation number will be W25G1V-10-R-0008. A technical response, which includes submission of past performance information for similar size and scope services, is required with offers. All responsible sources may submit on offer, which shall be considered. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date. The RFP will be available for download on the IBOP website. In order to access IBOP you must register by clicking USER REGISITRATION and follow the instructions to register for a password. After obtaining a password, which is usually provided within 24 hours, go to IBOP webiste, log-in, under ARMY SOLICITATIONS, select CECOM and follow the instructions for seaching for and downloading solicitations/amendments. The solicitation will be available for download on or about fifteen (15) days from the date of this announcement. The solicitation shall be issued electronically only. Any amendments will also be issued electronically only. No paper or disc copies will be issued. Any notification service notwithstanding, it is incumbant upon interested sources to periodically check the ABOP through to closing to ensure that they are aware of any amendments which may be issued. Proposals will be required within 30 days after the release of the RFP. Interested sources are futher notified that offers must be submitted in HARDCOPY ONLY. ELECTRONIC PROPOSALS/OFFERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Award can be made only to an offeror that has registered on Central Contractor Registration (CCR). CCR information is available at www.ccr.gov.
