Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), intends to procure a One Year Gold Level Maintenance Service Agreement for the following GE manufactured equipments: 1. AKTA FPLC Chromatographic System WITH FRAC 950 MODEL# 18608320, QTY (2)2. (2)STORM.840 AND WORKSTATION MODEL# 63003559, QTY (1)3. AKTAPURIFIER UPC 100 MODEL# 28406271,QTY (1) and4. AKTAPURIFIER 10 MODEL# 28406264, QTY (1) The Institute intends to purchase this service by other than full and open competition under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302. These pieces of equipment are composed of highly technical and sophisticated components, which must be maintained and provided with replacement parts by the manufacturer in order to keep this equipment working properly. GE has the technical expertise and easy access to parts needed to maintain these pieces of equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations however, all responses received, within 15 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition. Offerors may request a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) in writing to the Contracting Office Address listed or via email to: robinsti@mail.nih.gov prior to the closing date of this notice or before December 3, 2009 @ 3:00 pm EST. It is anticipated that RFQ - NICHD2010067 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due seven (7) days after the release of the RFQ. All requests for quotations must have a valid email address. Email quotations must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and an authorized company representative signature.
