- Synopsis-TF33 Engine; Housing, Anti-friction 1. ESTIMATED SOLICITATION ISSUE DATE: 06 Dec 2009 ESTIMATED SOLICITATION CLOSING/RESPONSE DATE: 06 Jan 2010 A basic year and two one year options contract is contemplated. 2. PR#: FD2030-10-70163 3. TYPE BUY: Spares/Requirements Type Contract - /Firm Fixed Price for New Manufactured Material. This will be a First Article Government Test for 3 each, with 1 each First Article be Expended in Testing and 2 each will become part of Production; delivery TBD. There is first article waiver criteria if the contractor has made this item successfully within the last 36 months. 4. AMC: 1/C 5. ITEM: TF33 Engine; Housing, Anti-friction 6. NSN: 2840-00-003-5607RV 7. PN: 708644 8. DESCRIPTION: TF33-Engine; Housing, Anti-friction DIAMETER: Approximate: 12.345" (IN) HEIGHT: Approximate 1.56" (IN) ITEM MATERIAL: AMS 5613 SST, #5 bearing housing ITEM FUNCTION: Antifriction Housing holds the #5 bearing into position which in turn supports the rotational load of the N1 or high speed turbine. SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE: This IS a small business set aside. 9. QUANTITY: Anticipated quantities are: Basic Yr BEQ: 158 ea Option I Yr BEQ: 94 ea Option II Yr BEQ: 97 ea 10. APPLICATION: (Engine or Aircraft): TF33 Engine 11. DESTINATION: FB2039, Tinker AFB, OK 73145-9013 12. DELIVERY: Required Delivery: 20 ea monthly, beginning 30 July 2010 13. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To be eligible for contract award, the offeror must be an approved source IAW FAR 52.209-1, Qualification Requirements. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of a SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed as a possible source for future awards. 14. EXPORT CONTROL: YES. Foreign contractors CANNOT participate as prime contractors. The technical data will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) government website at www.fbo.gov and will not be available until the solicitation is posted. 15. UID: If unit price exceeds $5,000.00 then UID requirements will apply. 16. MANDATORY LANGUAGE: OMBUDSMAN NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested parties are invited to call the Ombudsman at (405) 736-3273. DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER FOR SOLICITATION REQUESTS. Request for Written Proposal will be issued. The solicitation will be posted to FedBizOpps and should be obtained from there. All responsible sources may submit a bid, p roposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. 17.
