Description
Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue three (3) Task Orders under Contract N00019-08-D-0013 to be awarded no later than 30 May 2009. The subject Task Orders will be issued to McDonnell Douglas Corporation (Boeing), Integrated Defense Systems, St. Louis, MO. The resultant order(s) will be Firm-Fixed-Price to procure Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), Intelligence Reconnaissance Surveillance (ISR) services. The period of performance for said orders will be an estimated twelve (12) months from issuance of order(s). These Task Orders will support military detachments and ships. These orders are required in order to prevent a break in service of critical ISR requirements in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). Under FAR 6.302-2, unusual and compelling urgency, Boeing is the only source which can fulfill mission critical requirements and ultimately prevent serious injuries to Government personnel and equipment as a result of any delay(s) to the schedule. Such delays could result in loss of life or significant property damage to U.S. and Coalition forces in the OEF area of operations. Subcontracting opportunities should be sought directly from Boeing. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED PARTIES: There are no commitments by the government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract. No telephone responses will be accepted. Point of contact for this synopsis is Ms. Veronica Quintero. Responses to this synopsis should be sent by fax to (301) 757- 5972 or by email to veronica.quintero@navy.mil. Numbered note 22 applies.
