- Description
- DESCRIPTION: The NF/SG Veterans Healthcare System, Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608 intends to negotiate with Johnson & Johnson Healthcare System for an ICP Express intracranial pressure monitoring device. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy this requirement. The ICP Monitoring System provides accurate measurements of intracranial pressure at the source-subdural, parenchymal or intraventricular levels. The information is relayed electronically rather than through a hydrostatic column or fiber optics. The ICP EXPRESS monitor provides a continuous digital display of systolic, diastolic and mean ICP on patients that have undergone brain surgery. This device offers a higher accuracy and durability and exclusively offers an electronic strain gauge transducer. It is very accurate with almost no drift and the sensor is very robust and can withstand bending and other manipulations very well. This notice of intent is not for competitive quotes. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 339113. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document is not available. However, parties may express their interest accompanied by supporting literature to the Contracting Officer no later than November 23, 2009 at 4:00pm EST. Responses should be sent to Clifford.Snipe@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
