Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis with Fatigue Technology of Seattle, Washington to procure 80 items of Support Equipment to support depot level maintenance requirements of the Forcemate Bushings at the FRC East, Cherry Point. The maintenance tasks these tools will support, include removing/replacing the inserts/forcemate bushings in the Midwing Gearbox Support Assembly Fitting, in the engine mount support links, the proprotor hub spindle, the aft nacelle link assembly, and the antidrive strut. The Navy intends to procure this effort under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Firms that believe they can satisfy this requirement are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which may be considered by the Navy in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Navy not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Navy. A solicitation is not available for this procurement. This effort will commence within approximately 30 days after the date of the subsequent contract.
