Description
The Government is seeking potential sources for a contract that will provide for occasional Americal Sign Language Interpretetion requirements in Williston Vermont. 1. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supervision and transportation required to provide certified professional American Sign Language Interpreters on an as-needed basis for group meetings, training sessions, and one-on-one meetings between a deaf employee and his supervisor at the Burlington Finance Center (BFC) in Williston, Vermont. 2. This Purchase Order will be a time and materials order. The performance period is a one year base period with two one year option periods. The prices per hour for services provided and travel time will be negotiated as fixed price including profit and overhead. The interpreter's travel costs will be reimbursed for actual travel in accordance with the Federal travel Regulations. The current Internal Revenue Service optional standard mileage rate for business miles driven will be used for mileage. The current rate can be found at: www.gsa.gov/mileage, row: "If no Government Owned Vehicle available". The current rate at this time is $.55 per mile. No profit or overhead will be added to travel costs. 3. The estimated number of hours/anticipated frequency of requests for interpreter services are approximately two sessions a month, for 2 hours each, dependent upon the needs of the agency. Two or more interpreters may be required, depending on the length of the meeting and technical difficulty of material to be translated. There may be an occasional need for up to eight hours of interpreter services in one day for training seminars. 4. The ceiling price for this order is $4,000.00 for the base year, $4,120.00 for the first option year, and $4.243.6 for the second option period. This is the maximum amount the contractor is authorized to receive for services provided under this order. Any change in the ceiling price will be accomplished via modification. 5. The Government will usually provide service requests a minimum of ten business days in advance of the required service date. The contractor shall schedule available certified professional American Sign Language Interpreter(s) requiring the lowest travel costs and notify BFC of confirmed interpreter(s) within 8 days of the request. Notifications shall include a request for approval for reimbursement of travel costs, identifying the individual(s) and their travel commencement and completion location(s). The contractor shall make a good faith effort to schedule an interpreter for every request received under this order, regardless of how far in advance it is received.
