Description
The 508th ACSG/PK 6072, Fir Ave Bldg 1233, Hill Air Force Base, UT 84056 intends to award a sole source order to Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company (LM Aero). The requirement is for 160 each Throttle Grips (NSN: 1680-01-399-1780, Manufacturer: Mason Electric, PN: 16P1873-867). The throttle grips are required in Group A kits for integration of the Advanced Identification Friend or Foe (AIFF) suites into the F-16 Block 30/32. The throttle grips being manufactured under this delivery order will be combined with the Group A kits, and integrated into the aircraft by depot personnel. Delivery schedule of the throttle grips to be as follows: 94 each throttle grips, 10 months ARO at the rate of 10 per month for 9 months and the remaining 4 on the 10th month. In addition, an option for the additional 66 throttle grips within 54 months of contract award which will meet the current AIFF depot install schedule. This contract is a follow-on phase to integrate AN/APX-113-56 AIFF systems into 160 additional Air National Guard aircraft. Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, there is only one responsible source, and no other supplies or services can satisfy agency requirements. At this time, LM Aero has proprietary/data rights of this selected design and is the only available source capable of providing this particular piece of hardware. LM Aero developed and designed the -867 Throttle Grip and associated tooling, and this particular throttle grip is the only one certified and qualified for the established Blk 30/32 AIFF modification program. The North America Industry Classification System Code [NAICS] is 336413, size standard of 1000 employees. All responsible sources may submit a response, which if timely received, will be considered by 501st ACSS/GFLA.
